Staying on the beach can be so much fun! However, you do want to make sure you choose the right beachfront condo to rent. What you need to look for in a rental will largely depend on how long you plan on staying. If you're planning a longer stay, such as a 2 or 3-week vacation, here are some amenities that will come in really handy.

A Well-Equipped Kitchen

If you were only staying on the beach for a few days, you will probably want to go out to eat each night and enjoy the local fare. However, eating out can get really expensive during a longer stay. So, if you want to keep your vacation on a budget, you should look for a condo with a well-equipped kitchen. Check that the kitchen not only includes basic appliances, but also pots and pans, dinnerware, silverware, and perhaps even a few ingredients like salt, pepper, and cooking oil.

Cleaning Supplies or a Cleaning Service

When you stay in a beachfront condo for more than a couple of days, things tend to get messy and sandy. You'll probably find yourself wanting to clean the space or have it cleaned partway through your rental period. Some condo owners will arrange to have a cleaner come out weekly during longer stays. Others will stock the space with basic cleaning supplies, like a vacuum and mop bucket, so you can do the cleaning yourself. Choose the option that works best for you and your budget.

Separate Bedrooms

Staying in one hotel room with your family may be tolerable for a couple of days, but often not for longer stays. So, for longer vacations, you really want to rent a condo with multiple bedrooms. If someone has to stay on a pull-out bed in the living room, that may still better than having to share a bedroom. After spending long hours in the surf and sun, you'll probably each want your own quiet space to relax.

Beach Gear

The best beach condos will come with some beach gear, such as beach chairs, a beach stroller, and sun umbrellas. When you're staying longer, these items become even more important. There are more likely to be a few hot days, which means you really need umbrellas or other protective wear. And paying separately to rent a beach chair on the beach, day after day, can really add up.

If you're staying on the beach for more than a week, make sure the condo you rent is well suited to your longer stay.
